Steps of Preparation:

  1. Intention Setting: Begin by clarifying your intention for the journey. by articulating your intentions, this helps create a focused and meaningful experience. It’s important to do this 1-2 weeks prior to the journey. Setting clear intentions acts as a guide, providing direction and purpose during your psychedelic journey.

  2. Mindfulness and Relaxation: Cultivate a state of relaxation and mindfulness through parasympathetic breathing exercises or gentle meditation techniques. This guided exploration helps calm your mind, reduce anxiety, and prepare you to embrace the unknown with an open heart.

  3. Creating the Right Setting: Discover how to curate an environment that supports your journey. From selecting a safe and comfortable space to incorporating soothing elements like soft lighting and calming music, It’s important you in create a nurturing setting that enhances your sense of safety and tranquility. I recommend sourcing an appropriate playlist, eye mask and comfortable place to lie down where it’s quiet and you won’t be disturbed. Ensure a trusted friend, facilitator or family member is made aware of what you are doing for the day and make an agreement for them to be accessible should you need any assistance. I cannot iterate enough that you do your research, and I wouldn’t recommend doing this first time on your own. Find a facilitator that is experienced and one you feel safe with.

  4. Navigating the Experience: Equip yourself with tools and techniques to navigate the psychedelic landscape. Learn how to remain present, manage challenging emotions, and trust the process. Our exploration provides strategies to help you create a sense of calm prior to the journey and our intention is to use the exploration as a tool to stay grounded and centered, ensuring a smoother and more insightful journey.

  5. Integration: Understand the importance of post-journey integration. I recommend including practices for reflecting on your experience such as journalling, taking a few days before getting back into normal life if possible, you can also hire a facilitator or coach to have a one on one call the week after to help you integrate, extract insights, and incorporate newfound wisdom into your daily life. Integration is key to transforming your psychedelic journey into lasting positive change.
